本书对宁波帮文化进行系统梳理，全面介绍了宁波帮文化的形成和发展，分析其文化底蕴和文化特征，概括其核心价值观，探究宁波会馆文化与宁波帮之间的渊源，并逐个介绍了宁波帮人士为宁波教育和文化发展做出的贡献，包括张同泰、张鲁庵、卢绪章、邵逸夫、应云卫、董浩云、包玉刚、赵安中、忻礼轼等。本书文字通俗易懂，集知识性与文学性、学术性与普及性于一体，雅俗共赏，老少皆宜。本书的英文翻译，对于宁波文化以及浙江文化的外宣，具有重要意义。
曹钦琦，宁波大学科学技术学院教师，主要从事英语教学与文化文学等方面的研究，出版编著1部、译著多部。
李凤萍，宁波大学科学技术学院人文学院教师，主要从事英语教学、地方文化及翻译等方面的研究，曾编著《浙江非物质文化遗产之越剧》。
罗思明，博士，宁波大学科学技术学院教授，主要从事理论语言学和高等教育等方面的研究，先后主持国家级、省部级等各类课题10余项，发表论文100余篇，出版著作7部。
